remember us asked:

I’m a recent college grad, but am considering going back to school to learn about the green industry–and it will certainly become a big deal in the years to come. I want to get a green job, but without the necessary education (communications major) and little real world experience I doubt anyone would hire me. So why not start over? Does anyone know what types of green jobs exist? If you have a green job, what do you do? Where did you get your education for preparation for this job? What colleges and universities provide an education in this new field of study? (I live in South Jersey) I’m interested in the environment, clean energy, organic farming, even herbal medicine and supplements–any of these (or maybe some fields i can’t even think of) would be nice to break into. Thanks!!

I live in maine and I’ve heard a little about a college in the northern part of the state, Unity College i think its called. it has a lot of forestry and environmental programs. I would think about looking into that. Also some colleges have a major like “Environmental Studies”, like the University of Maine where I’m attending has a program thats International Affairs with concentration in Environmental Studies.
