Joe asked:
Weren’t they going to tax the rich, make us energy independent, give us tons of green jobs, give us all free healthcare, cut the deficit, end the wars, put N Korea, and Iran in their place or make them our friends, end Patriot Act, get rid of No Child Left Behind, make blacks as capable as whites, etc?

They don’t have the balls. They are afraid they are going to alienate a lot of people and lose their power. They COULD’VE and STILL COULD do a lot of good for a lot of people. Too bad they are living up to the spineless ******* stereotype.

Just goes to show you how hard it is to accomplish anything in D.C.
I’m sure it is somehow George Bush’s fault.

that all costs much more than they can tax the rich, Raising middle class taxes will ***** them over… not to mention, unlike the far lefties that will never loose their seats like nancy pelosi, most of the dems need to worry about reelection…. and the government is the problem, not the solution

They are politicians. Like every politician, regardless of party, they told you what you wanted to hear during the campaign. They then immediately put in motion absolutely nothing different from the other party.
Wake up, America.

they need at a few Republicans to sign on to whatever they pass so when it goes to sh1t, they can say it was bipartisan that is why they simply do not cram it down.
The other reason is the so-called Blue Dog Dems who ran on conservative platforms in order to beat out the Reps in 2006 and 2008 have to answer to their constituents and their constituents are not happy about all the spending this year. They punished the Reps for doing it, but the current dems have spent more then the reps did in Bush’s first 6 years.
