I understand the France gets a majority of its energy by way of nuclear power plants. What does France do with the radioactive waste produced by nuclear energy?

Up to now nuclear waste are stored in Normandy in the site of la Hague in specials containers and we are studing underground storage areas.
A part of it is stored in “water pools” inside nuclear plants sites.
I guess some of it is used to produce plutonium for nuclear weapons (but i’m not so familiar to be really sure about this).

The real problem is that the waste will stay radioactive for more than 10 000 years.
It’s true that electrical power is mainly made with nuclear plants in France (around 80 %)
