Major Tom asked:
I’m graduating from college in less than two weeks. I’m 30 years old, and I’m ready to start working. To make a long story short, I’ve had a lot of odds stacked against me in my life, but I pulled through in the clutch. Anyway, I’m still on the fence about grad school. The economy is in the sewer and jobs are hard to come by. Fortunately, where I live in Texas has been less impacted by the economy. With all things considered, the pickings out there are still pretty slim. If you were me, would you go ahead and go to grad school? Or would you try looking for a job in green energy like I’m hoping to do. I hope I can get a green collar job.
Would anybody mind answering one of these three questions, too?

I too live in Texas. Well I think it’d be easier to get a job and go to grad school part time you know? My uncle did that, he has two undergrad degrees. But he got his masters via night classes, and best of all, the company he worked for paid for it.
Than again, he’s an accountant manager and a CPA. I’m not sure what your degree is, so maybe looking for a job to kinda bring in some money be better. And than see about attending grad school via weekends, online, night classes. That way you work full time building your career/resume and in 2 or 3 years or so you get your masters and make more money.

Go to graduate school now.
You are already 30 years old. It is best to get all your education over with as quickly as possible to get where you need to go in life.
Take it from me-
I graduated at 26 from college because I also have had a lot of odds stacked against me. I immediately went to a master’s program and now I have my career under my belt since age 27. You can do it, too. Good luck.

For me, i would go to a grad school and study for more about the green energy. and maybe try to come up with an idea that will produce green energy efficiently.
i love science so much, i think science should be used to make our home better rather than try to created a most destructive weapon. that’s why if i were you i would go to grad school.
