We all know about global warming, and how it is causing the ice to melt, the earth getting polluted, and all the other things happening to the earth, like rising temperatures and such, but when is it really going to come into effect? When will we experience everything? In 5 or 10 years? In 100 years? In 1000 years? in 10 000 years?
Is there a certain answer? Or will the earth just suddenly ‘die out’ one day?

So more people are paying attention to global warming. Gore won an Academy Award; people are buying Prius’s. All excellent. Most people in the world could care less.

What earth affecting event needs to occur before everyone on this planet will give up their civil wars and petty squabbles and join together to solve this problem? And when it does, will it be too late to do anything about it?

I haven’t been able to find any credible sources on the history of the polar ice caps. But, I have heard that the polar ice caps have been free of ice many times in the history of the plant. Is this right? If this is right is this huge global warming issue a small over blown because this would be just a natural cycle of the earth. If this has happend before, melting of the polar caps, what has happend in the past?

This speech needs to be persuasive and 7-9 minutes long. Also, after my speech is done the class will question me questions regarding my topic(hybrid cars) so I really need some credible research.

Also, if anyone feels strongly about hybrids, tell me why they are so vital and people should be concerned….besides the whole global warming/high gas prices thing. I want solid information. Thanks!
